Founders - Bob & Ann Richardson
Special times spent as a family are memories that never leave us. For many young families this is only a “dream” which will never become a “reality”. Young parents, stricken with a terminal disease, know the frustration of being denied the opportunity to provide this once in a lifetime family memory.
Upon hearing of a father diagnosed with a terminal illness, a friend wanted to create the chance for this family to experience their “dream vacation”. With the help of many caring individuals, this father’s “Dream” turned into a wonderful “Memory” for his wife and children - a memory to last a lifetime.
The joy and appreciation of this family led Ann and Bob Richardson to envision enabling other parents in this situation to also turn their “Dreams to Memories.” Therefore they founded the nonprofit foundation Dreams to MEMORIES. The official launch of this foundation was at the Holiday Inn, May 14, 1999 in Fort Erie, Ontario.
