Memorial Grove

Official Dedication on Saturday May 25th, 2002

On Saturday, May 25th, 2002 a small crowd gathered at the Memorial Grove Dedication in Lions Sugar Bowl Park, in Fort Erie Ontario. Six trees were dedicated to the first recipients of wishes granted. The event was hosted by Dreams to Memories, with many wish-recipient families, volunteers and dignitaries on hand to observe the site dedication. A monument at the grove's entrance welcomes visitors to the site with the inscription:

"Each tree planted in this memorial grove is in memory of a young mother or father."

The rain held off as the crowd watched the formal presentation under the canopy, followed by a blessing of each tree for each family wish granted.

Special thanks to Hassellman Nurseries, Glenmount Monuments and the Town of Fort Erie for all their assistance to make this Memorial Grove possible.
